From elizabeth: Thanks, Tayler, for providing this valuable service for Gallaudet University and the Deaf Community. You did a great job!
Another personal note: I was curious to see the interview of myself. I was so exhausted last Sunday that I had very little memory of what I said during the interview, so now I finally have the opportunity to watch the interview. It was also great to finally meet Tayler in person after we corresponded quite a lot during the coverage of protest, especially that Black Friday. Even though we have never met in person before, it felt like we have. One thing I must comment about people working together during the protest, they develop a common bond.

Thank you for the fabulous job at blogging. You, Ricky Taylor, Elisa A., and others have made a huge difference in affecting the deaf community all over the country and beyond. It was a great honor to be a part of this movement. With your help, it moved us into reaching out and do whatever we can. I enjoyed watching your interview on vlog. Thank you for everything that you have done.
I did tried to click but no picture on the video. How?
This comes straight from my heart- a sincere, deep, thank you to you,”Mishka”,and to the rest of the “Truth Squad”(Ricky and Elisa and others).
Perhaps some day we will all look back with a deeper appriaciation for all the work that you guys did for us in the Deaf community worldwide. But for now- a simple-yet profond-”thank you” is the most we can do.
Peace.

Hey, girl – I love you even more!
Did you know that I ALMOST shaved my hair BALD like that…but to my kids’ pleas and objections, I caved in.
My hair is pretty long, but wanted something bold.
You are one bold and a hell of a reporter!!
We would have NOT made it this far without you bloggers, that’s for sure!
I learned so much from you, Elisa and ridor. Hadn’t it been for you people (oops, joeybauer, too!) – I wouldn’t have been this interested in the protest. I’m sure there are others I forgot to include (sorry, but you people rock as well!)
I would have been still thinking it was those morons who thought Jane was not deaf enough.
Truth shall prevail!!!
:hands waving:

Iam
I would like to take a moment to thank all of you – bloggers, students, staff, faculty and alumni for your parts in the protest. While I was not able to take part in it due to distant, etc.. my heart was with you all.
If I may make a suggestion to one of you bloggers.. why not look into getting a group photograph of some of the people who’d made this possible? This would be a good way to show our appreciation to them that is due . Perhaps some separate group shots such as a group of interpreters, another one of the leaders, one of the faculty who’d taken part, and one of the students. In this way, we can see who’d made it all work together for the Unity of Gallaudet.
The reason for this request is that at times, it can be confusing as to who represented whom during all the milling around and pan shots via videos. I was able to discern some of the leaders, a few of the faculty/staff as well as the occassinal appearances of the interps who’d bridged the communication gap between students and the media.
Show us!
Thanks again

They are so fabulous job at blogging from interview with Elisabeth, Ricky, Ryan, and Chris and others.. And more videos about protestors, celebrate, etc… are also so great. I am glad I did read articles and watch movies from various websites (bloggers) because I live in Holland right now. I could not be there at Gallaudet, which I wish I could be there to help protest with them.
I really enjoy those interview from vlogs from DeafRead. I can only say “Thank you so much for those information about Gallaudet issues.”

thank you all, We all, not just me, Ricky, and Elisa, but also many other bloggers and you readers, help the courageous students achieve this victory!
Iammine, thank you. Many people actually thought I shaved my head as a gesture of support. I am not that radical to do something like shaving my head for the protest, but it is cool that people think this is the reason why my head is bald.
Mishka, hmm, can I ask you a question? I understand that you don’t want to show your identify on video interview with Taylor. At a point, you protect for yourself, right?
Bay area, Gallaudet administrators already knew a long time ago who I was.
The reason for me not coming forward with my real identity earlier was because basically I was and still am a private person. However, when Fernandes kept singing the mantra “Not Deaf Enough” like a broken record, I realized the best way to prove her “Not Deaf Enough” wrong was to sacrifice my treasured privacy and show the world this pro Unity for Gallaudet deaf blogger is a former oralist.
I just watched Elisa’s interview!
I couldn’t help but noticing her Ramones shirt – wonder if she’s fan of theirs, or it’s just a “cool” shirt she found!
I’m a big Pearl Jam fan (hence my username here) and I know that Johnny Ramones was Eddie Vedder’s best friend.
God rest his soul!
It was cool to see her wearing that shirt and it was also the month of Johnny’s birthday (8th).
*looks for Ridor’s interview*
Mishka, Cool! Thanks for your comment. Clapped for your full support for Unity of Gallaudet. Wink!
