It’s an excellent analogy, but one thing saddened me. The native americans, won the battle of Custer’s Last Stand. But they lost the war.
The picture is missing from your site as I am getting “?” in place of the picture.

Nbr #3. The Native Americans did not lose the war. Custer’s Last Stand made White Americans aware of Custer’s and others’ actions annihilate (exterminate) the Indians and to put a stop to it. With “Jane’s Last Stand,” the Hearing Americans are made aware that Deaf Culture and ASL is to be left alone and here to stay. We’d sent a powerful message to the world!
