Victory Achieved
Because we all worked together as a collective team: Students, Alumni, Faculty, Staff, Parents, Families, and Friends.
We worked together despite our differences: Deaf, Hearing, ASL users, Sim Com users, CI users, Oralists.
We worked together despite our age differences: college students, alumni, current employees, retirees, parents, grandparents.
We worked together from all over the country.
We were a very powerful entity when we all worked together.
We really experienced unity.
And we won!

It sure is wonderful to experience the unity of the deaf/hoh community from all walks of life!
Because of that, Gallaudet will be the BEST place to get education!
Get some rest, girl, we have a long road ahead of us!
AMEN!
I admire those who fought so passionately to reverse the Board’s decision against rather formidable odds and a persistent Jane K. Fernandes. What you had the courage to show was what can happen when the wisdom of community is ignored. A college or university is more than a business and decisions rendered without realizing that are destined to be unpopular.
May all who care deeply about higher education at Gallaudet pull together and chart a course for the future that includes all parts of the community.
Dont forget about RIT/NTID folks too!
Right!
