Let’s Remember What Really Is At Stake
- I would like to ask that we devote more time to
practical actions, such as discussing how we are going
to actually aid the protest, to sustain and sponsor
it.
For it is they who started it, and without them, and
their practical actions, we are nothing. We’re just
empty rhetoric.
It was their daring acts that fused all of us into a
collective.
I would not be mincing words for me to say that in
addition to PTSD, those students are experiencing
undue stress and unrelenting psychological effects.
Unlike most of us who are distanced from the situation
and can step away from it at any point, to renew our
vigor, or to take a breather, those students probably
do not have that capacity. They are in the midst of it
all, 24/7. It is they who are in the trench, the front
line and every front line needs its supply line.
IKJ is a psychologist. He has a doctorate in
psychology, and any psychologist worth his/her salt
has a basic understanding of the human condition,
including where the breaking points are. He is clearly
employing divisive tactics, playing the waiting game,
and playing the racism and prejudices card to
obliterate the real issues. This man is not a dummy.
He is out to play hardball, and whether it’s because
it’s his ass on the line for financial impropriety, or
because he has some other high stakes in JKF is
irrelevant.
What’s relevant is we don’t play his divisive game.
Unity is his worse enemy, and he knows that.
He knows that when basic needs go unmet, the
psychological breaking points are not far behind.
We cannot permit that to happen. This is one protest
that must succeed.
I want to ask you to participate in practical
activity, such as mailing or delivering to the
students what they need the most.
Uppermost on their need lists are canopy tents, warm
blankets, hats, mittens, and pocket warmers.
They are also in need of dry food and health snacks.
Everything should be in individual packets for easy
distribution. Foods suggested are:
Granola bars
Crackers
Pop tarts
Fruit snacks
Applesauce
Fruit cocktails
Chips/cheezits
Please mail the food to:

I will be mobilizing from the New England end, (New
England for FSSA), starting a food/supplies collection
drive and delivering to the students. I challenge
every one of you to do something as practical and
active.
Please.
