  1. Half assed attempts at a rally. This should have been decided and organized at least 24 hours instead of last minute.

  2. Yeah I agree. We need a higher number. I think that if we organize this, and march over there tomorrow, then more people come for the weekend, the number would be many.

  3. Yeah, I agree, if there’s a very small crowd, then it will just look bad, but I don’t know what’s going on there, so I can’t comment on it’s scuccess or lack thereof just yet. Should have had more time to put this together.

  4. I have an appointment that I could not reschedule and I am very disappointed that I was not able to join the last-minute planned noon rally at the capitol.

  5. I don’t know what’s going on, either – being out of state.

But I have to wonder, though… is something happening that caused this prompt decision to do so?

I’d have thought about waiting until supporters all over are coming this weekend to do this?

It just makes more sense that way…

I hope we’ll get an update soon!

  8. Yeah, I agree.
    Very last minute.
    Make a plan and organize..
Tomorrow (Friday, Oct. 20) is very good time since there will be many alumni and visitors for the “HC weekend.”

  9. Yea and to be honest it is dumb to do it at this point because congress is out of session until mid November. So the house and senate are closed and the only congressmembers you will find in their offices are the ones from nearby MD and VA districts. There is a very crucial battle happening this election between Dems and GOPers so they won’t pay attention to anyone rallying until the election is over unless you have accusations that one of the congressmembers sent you sexually explict emails, then don’t count on seeing any attention from Congress until after election day.

  12. The real march is this Sat. The gathering today is to meet with several congressional members and the people are there to support the protesters in the meeting, nothing more. The real march is Sat and it has been planned in advance.
